All are welcome to join the people of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church for the most sacred liturgical week of the church’s calendar. Our liturgical life during Holy Week connect us with the sacred stories of our faith and recalls the entry of Christ into Jerusalem, Jesus’s crucifixion and ultimate triumph over death. You are invited to journey with us as we head toward the cross and the coming joy of Easter!
Holy Week services at St. Andrew’s include:
3/29 - Palm Sunday (9:30 am). Commemorates Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem before his death and crucifixion at the hands of the Roman Empire.
4/2 - Maundy Thursday (6:00 pm). Commemorates the Washing of Feet and Christ’s Last Supper with the Apostles. Washing of feet and Eucharist at 6:00 pm. After the Eucharist, the altar is stripped to represent the abandonment of Jesus by his disciples.
4/3 - Good Friday and Stations of the Cross (6:00 pm). Commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Cavalry.
4/4 - Holy Saturday - Individual prayer and reflection and home.
